This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 27, 2007:
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly. ~ anonymous
My last couple of years have been spent going through some major life changes ... a metamorphisis occurring in me. After plodding through life in a less than spectacular existence, I now labor to free myself from my protective coccoon and prepare to spread my wings vibrant and colorful. The winds of life gently breathing in my ear, "Fly high....Fly high!"

Richard Bach had much the same quote as part of the Messiah's Handbook in Illusions.
Very good. Thank you.
Thanks C.G. I'll have to check it out.
Richard Bach's Messiah's Handbook in Illusions was instrumental in my life unfolding when I was in my 20s. It still is today in my 40s and I am still somewhere between the catepillar and the butterfly - I guess that would be the coccoon!
Thanks for your quote, Andy!

p.s…I loved how you camped with four 12-year old girls in an haunted graveyard last night! Please tell us more! : )
Oh, No… I didn't camp in a haunted grave yard, but that sounds like an adventure for another day. We went to Lake Compounce, an amusement park nearby. They set up a pretty elaborate haunted house and graveyard. Chainsaws buzzing and zombies jumping out behind tombstones. We were a huddled mass of five…..a shrill screaming machine…trying to make our way through a 45 minute maze of terror. It was fun. They were the perfect age for it. Then afterwards, we spent the next few hours going on ever roller coaster the park had to offer…. no lines because of the rain. It was great, but I'm beat!
Well, that sounds like a lot of fun. In late August, my 12-year old niece flew out to CA for a week with me and we had a blast. Just the two of us. I wouldn't trade that week for anything else in the world.
Andy,
This is a great quote for those times of life transitions! I also love the following quote:
“When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must belive that one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid for you to stand upon, or, you will be taught how to fly.”

oooh Zoey, very nice!
I like that. Thanks Zoey.
I used the “Patrick Overton” quote personally to help me through a major life transistion and crisis many years ago. I believe this quote is referred to as “the faith quote”. I also use it in workshops I deliver and it has moved people to tears. He is obviously an amazing poet!

Andy, I came to Zaadz at the same moment in my life – when I suddenly woke up, looked around, and said “What the hell am I doing?” The last year has been trippy as I reassess just about everything. Funny how Zaadz comes into your life right at that moment : ) I've found the folks on this site a source of constant inspiration. Best of luck with the unfolding of you!

Thanks Lil. I've enjoyed meeting new people and hearing refreshing ideas.
